Programs
Adults and kids. Gi and no-gi. One academy.
Beginner classes run three times a week, and every other adult class is all levels, so newcomers and experienced students share the room. Kids have their own classes. Women are welcome in every adult class, and have a class of their own on Tuesday evenings.

01Adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu · Gi
The core program, taught in the kimono.
Every class follows the same arc: warm-up and stretching, positional drills, a technique taught in detail, then positional and technical sparring — optional in all-levels classes.
Evening classes with Professor Marlon follow a weekly theme for white, blue and purple belts, so you always know what you’re working on. New students start in the Beginner BJJ w/Gi classes — Monday and Wednesday 6:00–7:30 PM and Saturday 2:00–3:30 PM — for the core movements, positions and techniques.
All-levels gi classes run Tuesday and Thursday 9:00–10:00 AM, Monday and Friday 1:00–2:00 PM, and Wednesday 1:00–2:30 PM. Once you’ve found your feet in the beginner class, you’re welcome in any of them.
02Adult No-Gi
The same jiu-jitsu, without the kimono.
No-gi is trained in a rash guard and shorts. With no collar or sleeve to hold, the grips move closer to wrestling and the pace picks up — the positions and submissions are the same ones you learn in the gi.
All levels. No-gi runs Tuesday and Thursday 6:00–7:00 PM and is included in the BJJ membership.

03Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Technique, games, and a lot of energy put to good use.
Kids classes are built for kids: a warm-up, a technique taught step by step, then games that turn the technique into play. Students work in pairs, learn to look after a training partner, and earn stripes and belts as they progress.
Along the way they pick up practical self-defense, coordination and balance, and the habit of listening, trying, and trying again.
Ages 6 to 15. Classes run Monday to Thursday 5:00–6:00 PM and Saturday 9:00–10:00 AM; Monday’s class is for ages 9–15.
The free trial applies to kids too. A parent or guardian sends the request; we’ll ask about your child’s age and experience when we get in touch.
04Women at the academy
Every adult class, plus a women's class on Tuesdays.
Women train in every adult class at Marlon Colorado BJJ, and there’s also a women’s BJJ w/Gi class every Tuesday, 7:00–8:00 PM — the same curriculum and the same instructors, in a class of women.
Sparring is optional and you decide when you’re ready to start. Classes begin with a warm-up and stretching; nobody expects you to arrive fit, experienced, or in a gi.
